Jugend Eine Welt – Don Bosco Entwicklungszusammenarbeit is an Austrian aid organization that has been dedicated to improving the life prospects of children and young people living at the margins of society around the world since 1997. Under the motto "Education overcomes poverty", Jugend Eine Welt supports aid projects, schools, homeless children programs, and educational projects in Asia, Africa, Latin America, the Middle East, and Eastern Europe.
What’s the purpose in mourning over defeats when we can try to do our best to overcome them?
Jugend Eine Welt acts out of Christian motivation in the spirit of the youth pastor and social pioneer Don Bosco as an independent non-governmental organization (NGO). In promoting the beneficiary projects, we adhere to the principles of sustainable development cooperation. Our goal is to contribute to the implementation of the 17 sustainable development goals, where the goal №4 "Quality education" is of particular importance to us.
The most important project partners, The Salesians of Don Bosco (SDB) and The Salesian Sisters of Don Bosco (FMA), have been working as Catholic religious orders in the service of children and young people in need for more than a century. Nowadays around 16,000 Salesians work in more than 130 countries and 14,300 Don Bosco Sisters in more than 90 countries worldwide. Therefore, hundreds of thousands of children and young people are given the chance for a better future.
